This Manual provides and overview of the feature and functions of the Governmental Data Services, Incorporated NetTAX Tax Billing and Collections System.

 

The manual is broken down into 2 parts; Tutorial and How To.  The Tutorial provides detail information on each program, data fields and functionality.  The How To provides step by step instruction for performing specific functions in the operation of the tax office.

 

Access to the Help system may be accessed 2 ways either through the web portal (http://www.gdsusersonline.com) or by selecting the Tutorial or How To button from within the GDS NetTAX system.

 

 

 

Once inside the help system the screen is divided into 2 sections;  Tabbed Selection and the narrative section where the information is displayed.

 

Press on the "+" or "-" sign off the Menu to expand (+) or contract (-) the menu options.

 

 

The Index mode is available by clicking the "Index" tab and selecting a topic.

 

 

The Keyword Search option is available by clicking the "Search" tab, enter a keyword, click the search button and select a topic.

 

 

Throughout the Help system are internal links that will direct the user to a different section within the Help System.  The links are distinguished by using blue words which are underlined.  Click on the blue underlined text to go to specific information on that topic. 

 

Additionally when a control button     has been clicked the system will go to the specific topic for additional information.  Once in the control button section the user can return to the screen by clicking the Top   link on the far right of the help screen.

 

Depending on the resolution of the computer screen on the computer the entire screen may not display.  The screen size may be adjusted by pressing the "Ctrl" button and the "-" to lower size (shrink) or "+" (enlarge).

 

As with any good computer application the GDS NetTAX system is constantly evolving into a more productive product for use in the tax office.
