Tax Year Tax Entity Selected Display

Tax Year Tax Entity displays the record selected from the possilbe tax records popup.  This is the record the adjustment will be applied.

Base Tax Due on this tax year/tax entity record.

Adjustment Date

3. Adjustment Date
The Adjust Date entered is the date the adjustment is to apply to the account.  Upon entry into the Adjustments application the system date is the default.  The date maybe changed by: entering in MMDDYYYY or MM/DD/YYYY or MMDDYY or MM/DD/YY or clicking the calendar button.
 
Clicking the calendar button displays the calendar select the date by clicking on the desired Payment Date.  Navigate the months by using the "<" and ">" buttons or selecting a month and year.  Select the date by clicking on the day.

Adjustment Amount

4. Adjustment Amount
The Adjust Amount is the total amount of the adjustment.  Adjustment amount can be a positive or negative number.

Code Display

The Code Display displays the pay type for the adjustment.

Adjustment Number

The Adjust Number is the unique number for this adjustment transaction.  The system will assign a system default number which is maintained in the Tax Entity parameters table.  This default can be over written with any other number as long as that number is not currently on file for a transaction matching this tax year, tax entity record.
 
It may be useful to us the check number issued from the taxing authority for refunds.

  • Amount to apply to penalty.
  •       Amount to apply to interest.
  •   Amount to apply to attorney fees.
  •       Amount to apply to discounts.

Add Button

10. Add Button
Add the transaction button.  In order to successfully add the transaction the the Adjust Amount must equal Tax + Penalty + Interest + Atty Fees + Discount.
 
Add the transaction button creates the transaction but is not posted to the Tax Record until the post function is performed.  The list function provides an edit list of the created transactions that have not posted.
