Tax Payments | Payment Information Section
 Payment Date
The payment date entered is the "Receipt Date" and the date used to calculate penalties and interests.
Upon entry into the payments application the system date is the default.
The date may be changed by: entering in MMDDYYYY or MM/DD/YYYY or MMDDYY or MM/DD/YY or clicking the calendar button.
Clicking the calendar button  displays the calendar.
Select the date by clicking on the desired Payment Date. Navigate the months by using the "<" and ">" buttons or selecting a month and year. Click on the day to select the date.

 Check Amount
The amount of the check presented for payment.

 Cash Amount
The amount of cash persented for this payment.

 Payer Information
The Payer Information list information regarding who paid the account.
The system defaults to the property owner and therefore no address information is required.
If a third party title company, is making the payment enter the title company information including the address, which will print on the receipt and store for future retrieval.

 Check Number
The number on the check presented for this payment.

 Credit Card Amount
The amount of the credit card transaction (minus any convenince fees) for this payment.

 PRINT ONLY - POST - POST and PRINT button

The POST and PRINT button posts the transaction to the account, brings up a receipt to print and clear the screen to add the next payment. Any errors, data omissions or special handling will prompt the user by display or popup windows. Once complete the system refreshes for entry of the next payment.

 OVERPAYMENT button
The Over Payment button allows for the application of a payment on a previously paid account.

 Remaining Due
Display the amount remaining or over paid to this account on this payment. Posting a payment with a Remaining Due not equal to zero requires the user to designated what to do with the unallocated amount.
A negative balance (taxes overpaid) remaining prompts the user to select a year and entity to apply the balance remaining amount. Select from the Allocate drop down where to apply the over payment.
A positive (taxes still due) balance remaining prompts the user to accept the payment as partial leaving the remaining amoutn still due on the account. Selecting "No" to Accept Partial Payment provides the ability to select a year and entity to apply the balance outstanding to clear the account. Select from the Allocate drop down where to apply the under payment.
