Tax Year and Entity Drop Down

1. Tax Year and Entity Drop Down
This is the Tax Year and Entity for the record currently displayed.  To select a different year and or tax entity select from the drop down list.  The drop down will only display years and entities for which records exist.

Tax Status

2. Tax Status
Tax Status shows the status of the tax record.  Tax Status indicate whether taxes are due, a refund is owed or special handling and or P&I calculation is needed.  Several of the applications throughout the NetTAX system updates this field based on data entered.  A blank "       " status is valid and indicates the record needs no further action at this time.

Original Levy

3. Original Levy
The Original Levy is the levy calculated off the certified roll.

Taxes Due

4. Taxes Due
Taxes Due indicates the base tax amount remaining due on this tax record.  A negative taxes due indicates a refund is available due to an over payment or change in values or exemptions.  Zero tax due indicates that the taxes have been paid on this tax record although check page 3 to see if any "Other Amounts" are still owing.

Current Levy

5. Current Levy
Current Levy is the calculated levy currently on this tax record.  If the original levy and current levy are different this indicates that a change has occurred on the tax record following the certified process.  Changes to the values, exemptions and tax levy can be found by clicking the Audit History button.

Other Amount

6. Other Amount
Other Amt is the total of any other amounts that have been applied to this tax record.  Other amounts are added to the tax record via the "Other Amounts" bu

Base Amount Due

7. Base Amount Due
The Base Amt Due is the total of the tax due plus any other amounts on this tax record before any penalties, interest or attorney fees have been calculated.

Audit History Button

8. Audit History Button
Click the Audit History button to bring up the changes to the tax record.  The audit history shows the date and reason for the change, who made the change what information was changed and what the previous amount was.  The type indicates what was changed and relates to a 2 character exemption or value code, "00" tax levy change, "02" for freeze year or "03" freeze amount.

Other Amounts Button

9. Other Amounts Button
To add or modify other amounts to this tax record click the Other Amounts button. The system displays the Other Amounts popup window..
 
 
Select a Other Amount from the drop down list.  If a default amount or calculation method was added to the other amount when it was setup and amount will display, enter the date the amount is due and press the "ADD" or "UPDATE" button.  A other amount may be deleted from the tax record as long as a payment has not been applied to the other amount.
 
Other amounts are setup under the Miscellaneous Files menu, Other Amounts selection.
